Gudauri
Gudauri is the largest ski resort in Georgia, located on the southern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains at an altitude of about 2,200 meters above sea level. The resort is known for its modern ski trails, excellent freeride opportunities, and breathtaking panoramic views. Thanks to its deep snow coverage and well-developed infrastructure, Gudauri is one of the best winter destinations in Georgia.
History
Although Gudauri is a relatively young resort, its development began in the 1980s, when the first ski lifts were built with the support of Austrian engineers. Since then, the resort has expanded and modernized, providing high-quality services and great skiing conditions.

Gudauri offers over 80 km of ski trails, suitable for different skill levels:
- Green slopes – for beginners.
- Blue slopes – for intermediate skiers.
- Red and black slopes – for advanced skiers and snowboarders.
One of Gudauri’s biggest advantages is freeriding (off-piste skiing). The resort is considered one of the best places for backcountry skiing due to its soft climate and frequent snowfalls.
