Day 1: Arrival in Baku – Introduction to Ancient Culture

Meet & greet at Baku International Airport with a Russian-speaking guide. Transfer to the hotel and check-in.

First excursion to the Ateshgah Fire Temple, located in the Surakhani settlement. Built in the 17th–18th centuries on natural gas outlets, this unique open-air museum once attracted Zoroastrians and Hindus to its eternal flame. Today, it offers an insightful glimpse into Azerbaijan’s religious and cultural roots.

Visit Highland Park for breathtaking panoramic views over the Caspian Sea, the evening city lights, and the Baku Bay. This is one of the most scenic spots in the capital — ideal for sunset photos.

Return to the hotel and enjoy free time.

Day 2: Old City Baku & First Wine Tasting

Breakfast at the hotel.

Excursion to Icheri Sheher — the Old City of Baku. This is the heart of ancient Baku, surrounded by fortress walls and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. We will stroll through narrow stone streets, see the Maiden Tower, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, ancient mosques, and caravanserais.

Lunch at one of the atmospheric restaurants in the Old City, where you can taste traditional Azerbaijani cuisine.

After lunch, we will visit a wine gallery. Here we will enjoy a professional tasting of wines produced in the Absheron region, accompanied by light snacks.

Return to the hotel. Free time to stroll around evening Baku. Overnight in Baku.

Day 3: Shamakhi & Winery

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out with luggage at 09:00.

Transfer to Shamakhi — one of the oldest cities in Azerbaijan and the former capital of the Shirvanshahs. The city is located in picturesque foothills and is famous for its poets, winemaking traditions, and the ancient Juma Mosque.

Lunch in Shamakhi — local cuisine in a cozy restaurant with mountain views.

Visit to an eco-friendly winery. Walk through the vineyards, learn about the production process, visit the wine cellar. Wine tasting of 3 varieties, accompanied by light snacks.

After the tasting, departure towards Sheki.

Arrival in Sheki. Hotel check-in.

Dinner at your own choice. Overnight in Sheki.

Day 4: Sheki — City of Sweets, History, and Crystal Windows

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out with luggage.

Excursion in Sheki — one of the most colorful cities of the country and a UNESCO site. Visit the famous Palace of the Sheki Khans, decorated with handmade frescoes and stained-glass windows called shebeke. Walk through the old streets, see the caravanserai, taste the local pakhlava, and learn the secrets of the ancient Silk Road.

Transfer to Gabala.

Lunch at a national cuisine restaurant.

Visit to a winery — guided tour of the production facilities, a walk through the vineyards, and a tasting of wines that are well known far beyond Azerbaijan.

Hotel check-in in Gabala.

Overnight in Gabala.

Day 5: Ancient Gabala and Final Wine Tasting

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out with luggage.

Trip to the village of Nij, home to the Udi Church — representing one of the oldest Christian communities in the Caucasus. Introduction to the culture and history of the Udis.

Excursion to Chukhur Gabala, where the ruins of the ancient city of Kabalaka — once the capital of Caucasian Albania — are located.

Lunch.

Transfer to another wine region. This is one of the most picturesque wineries in Azerbaijan, surrounded by mountains and forests. A walk through the vineyards, introduction to the winemaking process, and wine tasting with snacks await us.

Return to Baku. Overnight in Baku.

Day 6: Local Market & Departure

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning visit to a Baku local market accompanied by a guide. A great opportunity to buy spices, oriental sweets, fresh fruits, souvenirs, and the famous Azerbaijani tea.

12:00 – check-out from the hotel.

Transfer to Baku International Airport.
