Ganja Sharab‑2 Winery

History and Establishment

Ganja Sharab‑2 Winery was founded in 1984 as a state-owned enterprise. In 1998, it underwent full modernization and was equipped with European-standard technology. It was privatized in 2000.
The revitalized winery focused on the production of natural wines, cognacs, and vodka, combining local traditions with international experience. New vineyards were planted, and quality control systems such as ISO 9001 and HACCP were introduced.

Terroir and Production

The winery is located in Ganja — one of Azerbaijan’s oldest wine regions.
The climate is continental, with hot summers and cool nights that enhance the grapes’ sugar levels, aromas, and acidity.
Harvesting is done both manually and mechanically. Fermentation is temperature-controlled, and aging takes place in oak barrels, including local Caucasian oak.
